I am writing to give my highest recommendation to Ms. Wen Liu as a dedicated, caring, and insightful instructor. Ms. Liu has worked with my son, Owen, since February 2018 and instructs him in Mandarin. Prior to working with Ms. Liu, Owen had never had exposure to Mandarin or Chinese culture. In a very short time, Ms. Liu has helped Owen make tremendous progress in understanding basic Mandarin and, more importantly, has engaged and challenged him throughout their lessons.

One of Ms. Liu’s gifts as a teacher is her ability to work with students and meet them at their appropriate level of skill and understanding. She works tirelessly to create lessons tailored to Owen’s interests and comprehension in order to help him create building blocks of both understanding and genuine enthusiasm for the language and culture. Ms. Liu is truly delighted when Owen progresses and thoroughly committed to creating the right lessons and environment for optimum learning.

We have been very fortunate to have welcomed Ms. Liu into our lives as Owen’s instructor. Not only has he begun learning Mandarin and about Chinese culture, he is challenged and stimulated by Ms. Liu’s thoughtful lessons and warm, generous nature.
